2nd express highlights in 2 wks. first one can be found here through the 2, i do hope that i had achieved my personal aim of creating 2 different express highlights in terms of style n execution. -- thank u, gail n vernon, it was my 1st church express highlights. -winks. bet u didn't know that. hope that we had more than delivered what u had expected us to do. :) -- running commentary: 1) first scene -- seeing vernon and yet hearing gail's voice was really disconcerting. (oops, my bad) 2) gail's make up scene - - deliberately showed only parts of gail's face while keeping the rest hidden. (n no, it's not because gail isn't good looking OK! it's a teaser.) 3) gail's veil scene -- saw TG putting on the veil for gail and suddenly, i had an impulse of grabbing that shot in that particular manner. and it was only while i was editing in rm 256 did i realise it's significance. as mark always says, listen to your intuition. 4) church march in 01 -- loved how you could almost see the boy's thoughts 'wow, pretty flower girl, i like her' while he was staring so intently at her only to see him turn his head away as he realised that the bridemaid that came after was an even better catch. -winks. (hello melissa.) 5) church march in 02 -- notice gail's dad's footsteps as they first stepped into the church. it's exactly in sync with the beats of the song. 6) vernon's close up in church - deliberately synced his nods after you hear the lyrics' you raise me up to more than i can be' as if he's re-affirming the line (n everything) just b4 he said his vows. 7) the infamous KISSING scene -- gail had warned us time after time, NOT to do a close up of their kiss as she expressed her discomfort of having 400 over guests viewing it up, close and personal. well, eil and i did what she had instructed (it's unbelievable to think that we could actually be that guai) n while editing, i couldn't help but cheekily dragged the kiss on n on n on n on. (-grins. do hope that we had gotten away with it. lalala.) -- when i was younger, i had reallyreallyreally wanted to be an actress. love creating something which i may call mine n the power, i have, over the audience, when i am on stage.... -whistles ... the ability to make them cry or laugh, as n when i feel like it. n now, i've finally found my stage. :)
