4 yrs ago, when i had to purchase a lappy, i let my bro make all the decisions.
i was too lazy to do the necessary 'research'.
in the end, i bought the same lappy as my bro as it was small, silver n light.
now...
'jie, can u lend me ur port replicator?'
'jie, i need to borrow your AC adaptor.'
'jie, do u often use ur A drive? can i have it?'

the curious incident of the dog in the night-time -- mark haddon
it was 7 minutes after midnight. the dog was lying on the grass in the middle of the lawn in front of mrs shear's house. its eyes were closed. it looked as if it was running on its side, the way dogs run when they think they r chasing a cat in a dream. but the dog was not running or asleep. the dog was dead. there was a garden fork sticking out of the dog. the pts of the fork must have gone all the way thru the dog n into the ground bcoz the fork had not fallen over. i decided that the dog was probably killed w the fork bcoz i cld not c any other wounds in the dog n i do not think u wld stick a garden fork into a dog after it had died for some other reason, like cancer for example, or a road accident. but i cld not b certain abt this.

the curious incident of the dog in the night time is a murder mystery novel like no other. the detective, n narrator is christopher boone. christopher is 15 n has asperger's, a form of autism. he knows a great deal abt maths n very little abt human beings. he loves lists, patterns n the truth. he hates the colours yellow n brown n being touched. he has never gone further than the end of the road on his own, but when he finds a neighbour's dog murdered he sets out on a terrifying journey which will turn his whole world upside down.

very easy on the brain, except for certain parts w complex maths equations/questions. (urgh)
in all, light enough for me to finish in one sitting.
